6 Months Update:
     Weight: 17.8 Pounds                                                         Length: 27 1/4 Inches
The Doctor's Word:

Ashilyn saw a nurse practioner for her well baby check up. She is of the mind that the little empress needs to eat more solids and have less formula. She is a big girl but has not gained much in a month in comparison to her increase in length.

I was also advised to work more on her ability to drink from a cup and crawl. So far she has more interest in walking than crawling!

It looks as if our baby is having difficulties with allergies. I am not at all surprised.

Mommy's Word:

It looks as if I have an assistant in training! Ashilyn believes she can take over my office! She disconnects me from the phone, types on the keyboard, and files papers (from the desk to the floor). Very helpful eh?

What's New:

A greater love of making sounds: she croaks like a frog and sings to us all
Pushing up on her hands and knees
She loves books, she now has her own selection of edible safe literature
She has a collection of princess dolls and other babies, each must be loved once a day at least
She loves picking flowers...from the wallpaper, her sheets, her Grandmother's nighty..one day those flowers WILL be hers!
She has discovered she can gently touch things with one finger
She will bestow favor upon people and objects by kissing them (yes, we came home with floral shirts and Blue's Clues clothes because she kissed them...you tell her no!)
